Luther Burbank Rose Parade & Festival @ Luther Burbank Rose Parade & Festival
May 19 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Together We Rose

As you know, our entire community has been impacted in one way or another by the devastating fire storms of 2017, which will become another historical moment in Santa Rosa’s 150-year timeline. As we think about this year’s Luther Burbank Rose Parade and the City of Santa Rosa’s 150th Celebration, we determined that our theme should be Together We Rose.

Together, we will rise and we will work to keep our community strong.

A time-honored tradition in Sonoma County and one of the oldest and largest continuously occurring events in Northern California, the Luther Burbank Rose Parade and Festival celebrates this year with a theme of Together We Rose on Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Downtown Santa Rosa. This year’s theme acknowledges the impact of the devastating fire storms of 2017 which will become another historical moment in Santa Rosa’s 150-year timeline. Award winning floats, marching groups, non-profit organizations, and school bands will fill the streets with themed entries as they honor Together We Rose and Santa Rosa’s strength as a community.

After the parade, the fun continues with a festival in Downtown Santa Rosa. Enjoy family fun activities, music, and a variety of food booths.

The Parade is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the Festival is from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

100+ Wineries!

BARREL TASTING – TWO WEEKENDS…..
March 2-4 & March 9-11, 2018
11:00 am – 4:00 pm each day

Members of the Wine Road would like to welcome you to our wineries and lodgings for an exciting weekend of wine tasting. This is your chance to sample wines from the barrel, talk to winemakers and explore the beautiful Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys.

Barrel Tasting is not a food pairing or themed event.  It’s all about the WINE…many wineries offer “futures” on their barrel samples. This is a chance to purchase wine now, often at a discount, then come back to the winery when the wine is bottled, typically 12-18 months from now. Many wines are so limited, buying futures is your only chance to purchase them.

Attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic as most wineries will not have food for this event. The ticket price includes the opportunity to sample wine from the barrel and in most cases also trying a limited number of current release wines.

Winemaker Breakfast and Q & A on Saturday March 3rd and Saturday March 10th. Tickets must be purchased for this added event during registration. This is an open forum for guests to meet and chat with winemakers in a casual breakfast setting with Q & A. This is not a wine tasting experience, simply breakfast and conversation. Tickets are $25 plus tax and fees.

March 3rd Breakfast:  Will be held at Pedroncelli Winery: 1220 Canyon Rd, Geyserville.  Join Winemakers Montse Reece (Pedroncelli), John Viszlay (Viszlay Vineyards) and Dan Barwick (Paradise Ridge Winery) for a casual morning of Q & A along with a breakfast before heading out to Barrel Tasting.

March 10th Breakfast: Will be held at Spicy Vines: 441 Healdsburg Ave, Healdsburg.   Join Winemakers Doug Hackett (Spicy Vines), Susie Selby (Selby Winery) and Mike Brunson (Christopher Creek Winery) for a casual morning of Q & A along with a breakfast before heading out to Barrel Tasting.

All Wine Road events are for adults only… NO ONE under the age of 21 is allowed to attend Barrel Tasting -including no babies or children of any age

Butter & Egg Days 2019 @ Downtown Petaluma
Apr 27 all-day

Butter & Egg Days on April 27, 2019

Parade Theme: “It’s always punny in Petaluma”

Celebrating all that is udderly egg-septional in Sonoma Cownty and Clo’s 50th Herd-day.

The theme was chosen to bring attention to the myriad of businesses and organizations including agricultural producers, manufacturers, breweries, distilleries and wineries, food producers, and
non-profits who share their creativity, passion and entrepreneurial spirit with us. Although the industries are diverse, a common thread unites them – the joy that comes from being a vibrant contributor to the community.

This sense of optimism and enthusiasm is often expressed in fun and slightly irreverent ways. There is no better example of this than Clo the Cow, the iconic and always grinning mascot for Clover Sonoma. After making her debut on a billboard 50 years ago, Clo’s creative puns still remind us that there is much to smile about when you live in such a beautiful and bountiful part of the world.

This year’s parade theme invites participants to emMOOlate Clo’s punny comMOOnication and have some fun with their parade floats and banners. Celebrating the Petaluma comMOOnity or Sonoma COWnty are just a couple of the idea starters.

“Petaluma is known for its creativity. This year’s theme gives our amazing businesses and organizations the opportunity to follow Clo’s lead and show off their originality by creating puns for their entries in the parade. Whether they choose to pay homage to Clo or celebrate their own organization, the more puns the better!” says Marie McCusker, executive director of the PDA.

The Butter & Egg Day festivities kick off on April 20th with the Opening Ceremonies at the Petaluma Historical Library and Museum (20 Fourth St.), from noon to 1 p.m. Mayor Barrett will read a proclamation honoring the Grand Marshal and Good Egg.

One week later on Saturday, April 27th the parade steps off at noon and will march through the historic downtown, surrounded by a festival of fun and activities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Clover Sonoma will return to lead the Clover Kids’ Parade, which precedes the main parade at 11:30am with a procession of preschoolers and primary grade youngsters and their families.
