Sonoma County Parks – Covid-19 Safe Practices

As we head into what is traditionally a busy season, we ask you to please do your part to keep your yourself and others safe. We are still under a shelter-at-home order, and with few other destinations open, parks are likely to be extremely busy.

Please avoid crowded parks where social distancing is not possible. Save your park visits for times and days that aren’t as busy. Stay home and exercise in your neighborhood instead.

If you do visit a park, keep your distance from others as much as possible. When you pass on a trail or in a parking lot, you must wear a face covering. Share your trail space – move to the side and maintain a safe distance from other trail users.

Do not travel to coastal parks. Coastal parking areas are closed, and walk-in coastal access is not permitted from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Do not plan to hang out at Russian River beaches. You can boat, fish or swim on the river, but you can’t sit on the beach, picnic, barbecue, gather in groups or drink alcohol on river beaches.

Please do your part to keep yourself and others safe.
