#67 – Wildlife Images Rehabilitation & Education Center

June 20, 2015 by admin

Wildlife Images Rehabilitation and Education Center in Grants Pass was founded in 1981 to provide for the care and treatment of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. It has since expanded to provide educational programs on wildlife, conservation, and the environment to schools, organizations and the general public. It is located on 24 acres of land adjacent to the wild and scenic section of Oregon’s famous Rogue River. Animals treated there who have permanently disabling injuries that make them unable to live in the wild are integrated into one of its educational programs.

In 2010, Wildlife Images formally opened a premier animal habitat affectionately called “Critter Creek.” This new habitat embodies a sense of wonder that supports Wildlife Images’ goals to involve, educate and inspire every guest, allowing them to get up close and personal with bears, birds of prey, cougars, wolves and more.

Wildlife Images Rehabilitation & Education Center is open for public tours all year, rain or shine, except for some holidays. Reservations are required. From mid-June to mid-September visitors can catch a ride to Wildlife Images via a bear-themed trolley from several stops in downtown Grants Pass.
