There are few better spots in Southern Oregon than Lost Creek Lake for boating and water activities. You will love hopping in the boat and hitting the lake for a perfect day. Pull a skier or wake-boarder and watch as they glide across the surface of the water. There is nothing more exciting than a day of water-skiing on a hot and sunny summer afternoon. Fishing is also popular on this beautiful lake. Whether you find a shady spot on the shore or head out in a fishing boat, you are sure to have a great day hunting for those slippery trophies. The lake is easily accessible with two boat ramps available. If you don’t have a boat, but would still like to spend an afternoon at the lake, head over to the swimming area. Joseph H. Stewart State Recreation Area has a great swimming area that is protected from boats and wakes. The lake also boasts 11 miles of trails that follow along and around the lake’s beautiful shoreline. If you’re looking to spend extra time, there are a few RV parks and campgrounds that surround Lost Creek Lake. Oregon’s scenic beauty is on full display at the lake, which is located 30 miles from Medford on Hwy 62. For more information, call the McGregor Park Visitors Center at (541) 878-2255.
